The school runs a number of ASDAN qualifications and these are made up of modules designed to meet needs and aspirations of the students completing them. The courses include Personal and Social Independence and Personal Progress; incorporating ICT and work-related skills and ranging from Entry 1 all the way to Level 2.
ASDAN qualifications provide students with an opportunity to complete vocational programmes of study, learning as a group as well as individually, providing a meaningful alternative to the mainstream curriculum. Modules are formally recognised, contribute to Certificates or Awards at each level, and can be used separately or accumulated to build a record of personal achievement.
In addition to ASDAN, some students are entered for the Unit Award Scheme, offering a curriculum tailored to skills and interests. Personalised units are certificated and recognise small steps of progress in a range of topic areas.
