GCSE Results 2015
Once again students at Sarah Bonnell have excelled in their GCSEs this year achieving the school’s best ever progress measures for 3, 4 and 5 levels of progress overall, and in maths and English.
We have maintained our improved attainment and most importantly we have closed the gap between our ‘Pupil Premium’ students and others in terms of those achieving 5A*/C including English and maths, from a 19% gap in 2014 to a 2% gap this year.
We are delighted with this as it underpins our ethos of high aspiration and achievement for all.
We are extremely proud of all our students and their achievements. Some individual successes include Tafsia Shikdar, Deputy Head Girl (11 A*), Ranila Ramli, Assistant Headgirl (10A* and 1 A – she has also gained a scholarship to City of London School), Noureen Hussain (6A*, 3A, 1B) and Khadija Rahman (6A*, 3A, 1B) for attainment. The following students made exceptional progress across all their subjects; Abeda Khanam (achieved 10 A*/C grades making on average 5 levels of progress to do so), Agnese Lavrinovica (Achieved 8A*/C making on average 5 levels of progress to do so). In addition Crystal Trinh achieved 2A*, 7A and 1 B grade GCSEs, demonstrating huge resilience and determination following a lengthy stay in hospital.
The continued success of our students is a testament to the hard work and dedication of staff and their high expectations. Some subjects have performed exceptionally well including; English, Art, MFL, Geography, Citizenship and Media Studies.
Congratulations to everyone and we wish all our Y11 students 2015 every success for their continued education.
