On Wednesday 26th November, some of our Prefects had the opportunity to visit Citigroup as a follow up from their training during the last academic year.
Students were selected from nominations made by staff and spent the morning at the Citigroup offices in Canary Wharf. Anthony Cockett, Managing Director at Citi Private Bank, led the session with staff from his team and students were asked to reflect on their experiences in their roles as Prefects. They worked in small groups, discussing their successes, challenges and what advice they would offer to the next cohort of Prefects. Each group then went on to present their discussions, with the feedback from students being honest, interesting and humorous. Comments from some of the students are below. The morning ended with a lovely breakfast an informal question and answer session.
As always, the students involved were perfect representatives of not only the Prefect team but also Sarah Bonnell School. Staff from Citigroup commented on how confident, poised and well-rounded the students are from the school.
It was an insightful experience, which allowed me to get a better understanding of the Prefect role and made me realise that I have grown in confidence – Diane Stetcu 11B
